This year we are running various competitions throughout National Whale and Dolphin Watch week. We are lucky enough to have over 38 sponsors who have kindly donated prizes for our Obesrvers Prize Draw, New Quay raffle and photography competition.
Observers Prize Draw
To enter this prize draw and be in with a chance of winning all you need to do is submit sightings/data via our SeaWatcher App (download on all Android or iOS devices) or onto our website during the week of National Whale and Dolphin Watch (23-31st July). You can only be entered into the competition once as we would like to stress that quality and detailed data is more important than quantity when it comes to citizen science projects such as National Whale and Dolphin Watch. Winner will recieve their prizes by post.

Photography Competition
To enter this competition submit your favourite photo taken during National Whale and Dolphin Watch to nwdw@seawatchfoundation.org.uk with the subject ‘Photography Competition’ and the email containing details of the photographer, age, location and photograph details (e.g. sunset/sunrise, species, boat operator). The deadline to send photos to us is the midnight on 7th August.
The winners will be chosen by our Director, Professor Peter Evans and the prizes sent by post.

Children’s NWDW Competition (under 16s)
National Whale and Dolphin Watch is for everyone! This year we are thrilled to bring you our children’s competition. We’ll be taking entries of ocean-themed photography, drawings and crafts! To enter please submit your entry via email to nwdw@seawatchfoundation.org.uk with the subject ‘NWDW Children’s Competition” and details of the artwork, child’s name and location. The deadline to send artwork is 7th August. Must be 16 and under to enter.

New Quay Raffle
From Saturday 23rd July to Sunday 31st July there will be an opportunity to buy raffle tickets from our Dolphin Hub and on the Pier to be entered in with a chance of winning one of our amazing raffle prizes. The winners will be announced at our Live Music Night at New Quay Sports and Social Bar on Saturday 30th July. If you win a prize but are unable to attend we will contact you to send your prize to you via post (be sure to leave your contact details with us when purchasing your ticket)
