We would like to welcome a new recruit to the Sea Watch team, Rhian Forrest, who has recently been appointed as Sea Watch Regional Coordinator for Pembrokeshire!
Hello! My name is Rhian Forrest, and I became involved with the Welsh Sea Watchers Volunteer project in 2013. As an already enthusiastic marine environmental biologist I was hooked on cetaceans and have spent the subsequent years developing my field and research skills. I am now a professional marine mammal observer and medic and attend rescues in and around South Wales.
I have since returned to university to undertake a research project on recording methods used in Wales and plan to continue my studies on cetacean interactions with renewable development sites.
I still conduct regular marine mammal watches from Pembrokeshire and would love to spread my enthusiasm with you!
