How well do you know the sounds marine mammals make? Could you identify them from a short recording? Visit us at the Sea Watch Foundation office in New Quay, Wales to attempt our Acoustics Game, there is a prize available if you can answer them all correctly!
Discover the diversity of whales, dolphins and porpoises that inhabit UK waters and how you can contribute to our sightings database by reporting animals that you see all around the UK.
Meet Percy, our life-sized harbour porpoise and see our entanglements display to find out how plastics and litter affect our oceans and the animals that live in them. Keep an eye out for information on organised beach cleans coming up in the next few months.
The Hub also contains a photo identification challenge – we use nicks, notches and scratches to identify between individual animals as they are all unique in markings, can you identify our adoptable dolphins using these markings?
If you just have a question relating to the dolphins here in Cardigan Bay or are interested in our work and would like to get involved, the Dolphin Hub is open from 10am – 4pm on weekends so come along and talk to one of our volunteers!
You’ll find the Dolphin Hub at our offices, above Harbour Homes on the corner of the seafront carpark. Please use the fire escape entrance and turn right at the end of the landing.
