Sightings
At the time of writing, I know of three sightings yesterday (Friday) which were:
- Hoxa head, Orkney
- Staxigoe, Caithness
- Unst, Shetland
And a further report this morning (Saturday) came from Karen Hall with at least 5 orca being seen off Mioness Skerries in Shetland, heading south west.
I will update this blog and add more detail later in the day, once I receive it. This will normally be at around 6pm each day. Our Sightings Officer, Chiara Bertulli, is collecting and collating all the reports throughout the day, and from Monday will also create a Sightings Map, and send it all to me at around 5pm. I will then produce the final version of each day’s blog. Before that, as today, I will provide a brief update around lunchtime.
