At Sea Watch, we rely on a dedicated team of volunteers from all around the UK to gather data on sightings of live cetaceans in our waters. This information is crucial as it enables us to increase our understanding of whales, dolphins and porpoises in our British Seas and improve the protection measures that are taken by UK government.
This ambitious mission could not be achieved without the support of our regional coordinators. They act as a main point of contact for Sea Watch observers, collate the data, recruit new observers and promotes SWF locally.
We have recently recruited four new coordinators: two in Cheshire, Matt Clough and Stacey McCarthy who will be taking over from Katrin Lohrengel (who has been appointed as the Wales Development Officer), John Kinsman in Fife and Vanessa Lloyd in Somerset.
If you are based in Cheshire or Fife and would like to get involved, please contact Matt on matt999@hotmail.com, Stacey on staceymac20@yahoo.co.uk, John on johnkinsmanstmonans@hush.ai or Vanessa on valloyd@hotmail.com.
Welcome to Sea Watch to all three and many thanks in advance for your commitment!
