Every year the interns in New Quay get the chance to meet and inspire people to get involved with Sea Watch when on public awareness at the weekends.
This year we had the chance to meet Sue and Mike Bowden from Birmingham who visit New Quay for their holidays. Sue and Mike are also adoptees who, for a number of years, have adopted Smoothy. They visit New Quay in the hope of spotting Smoothy from the pier and boats but also to have a catch up with Sea Watch.
Here’s word from our visitors …
We had a great time once again in New Quay and hope we can come back next year! We have managed to get amazing dolphin photos in the past and I was so proud of mine I had it made into a t-shirt!
Bellow is Mike’s photo from Cwmtydu where the Sea Watch volunteers were helping to monitor the newborn pups and informing the public about keeping them safe. The seal pup is so cute!
“To see wild life in the wild is amazing and you never forget your first dolphin – it is magical and you can not take your eyes of the water…very addictive and peaceful”
Keep up the good work,
Sue & Mike
