Help us keep a look out for dolphins at Portland Bill (near the Lobster Pot restaurant) as part of the 2022 National Whale and Dolphin Watch. Learn what signs to look for, how to spot and identify them and find out more about the types of whale and dolphin that can be seen in Dorset. Drop in and stay as long as you like. We will have some binoculars to borrow but please bring your own if you have them. All children must be accompanied by an adult. This event is weather dependent.

Join Jack for his landwatch at Foreland Point from 10:30am on Saturday 30th July. Meeting point at Barna Barrow car park (free parking) (grid reference SS 752496) at 10.30 am. From there it is a 10 minute walk to Foreland Point (walk includes some steep / uneven terrain). The survey will take place at Foreland Point (grid reference SS 753508) from 11am - 1pm. Manx Whale and Dolphin Watch try to meet fortnightly between May and September, spending a couple of hours at The Sound, which is a known cetacean and seal hotspot. Binoculars will be available to borrow and expert knowledge on hand. Everyone is welcome and donations are appreciated. Sea Watches are subject to cancellation in bad weather. Just pop along to The Sound and look out for their big flag.
