Boat Trips along the Ceredigion Marine Heritage Coast aboard Ermol V and Ermol VI
The pleasure boats Ermol V and Ermol VI depart daily from the main pier of New Quay in the heart of Cardigan Bay. We offer 1 and 2 hour trips South along the Ceredigion Marine Heritage Coast visiting Birds Rock, The Caves, Cwm Tudu, Seals bay and Ynys Lochtyn. Cruising in the waters of Cardigan Bay Special Area of Conservation, harbour porpoises, seals and bottlenose dolphins are a regular and awe-inspiring sight not to be missed.
The experienced skipper and crew will answer all your questions about the wildlife and coastline – its maritime and marine flora and fauna, amazing geology and geomorphology, archaeological sites and local history.
Dolphins and porpoises are wild and as such cannot be guaranteed on every trip. However, when encountered, the skipper of your boat will slow down (or stop) to allow the best possible view without causing disturbance to the animals in line with the Marine Heritage Coast’s guidelines and the boat operator’s code of conduct.
We collaborate with the Sea Watch Foundation and their staff and research volunteers regularly join us collecting sightings data of seals, dolphins and porpoises from onboard our boats.
For departure times, further information and bookings, please come to our booking office at the top of the main pier, or phone 01545 560800 (daytime) or 01545 560375 (evenings).
We look forward to welcoming you aboard. (Please wear warm suitable clothing.)
